A highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Entomologist, Cosmos specializes in mosquito-borne disease transmission and vector control research. With expertise spanning entomology, microbiology, and epidemiology, Cosmos has conducted significant studies on malaria, focusing on vector species composition, behavior, and control interventions. His work aims to provide empirical data that guides decision-making and policy development to protect vulnerable populations.
Currently contributing to KillPest Services Limited, Cosmos thrives in a competitive and professional environment, delivering impactful solutions in vector control.
Cosmos is pursuing a Ph.D. in Entomology under the African Regional Postgraduate Program in Insect Sciences at the University of Ghana. He holds an M.Phil. in Microbiology from the University of Ghana, Korle-Bu (2019–2021) and a B.Sc. in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Cape Coast (2014–2018).
His research experience includes serving as an Entomological Coordinator at KillPest Services Limited, where he monitored and evaluated indoor residual spraying in the Bono Region of Ghana. He coordinated laboratory and hut trials to evaluate insecticides for vector control with the Arthropod Vector Biology Research Group. He explored the diversity of windborne flies as a Field Entomologist with the Ghana Balloon Team. His graduate and undergraduate research focused on insecticide resistance and protozoan parasite prevalence, respectively.
Cosmos has expertise in antimicrobial resistance, mosquito biology and behavior, vector control surveillance, malaria transmission dynamics, and insecticide efficacy and resistance. He has published his work in notable journals, including research on the neotropical leafhopper and baseline susceptibility of Anopheles gambiae to insecticides.
